

The project aims to apply advanced genome analysis methods to broaden our appreciation of the genetic information contained in the grape genome. This will allow us to understand the complex genetic systems that govern developmental and physiological processes as well as mechanisms of response to environmental stimuli.
Understanding these processes is fundamental to the development of new theoretical concepts and molecular tools for the evaluation and characterization of the genetic resources available to modern viticulture
The project aims to contribute to the growth of Italian and European viticulture in the 21st century in harmony with the principle that scientific knowledge should facilitate the combination of traditional methods with technological innovation.
